This is the market folding table from our Elements collection. Because of its sleek and timeless design amazing in any interior. Foldable so super easy to store away when not needed. With the right treatment also suitable for outdoor use. We have this table available in multiple sizes and as a console.
The wood for this collection comes out of 100 to 150 year old wooden beams that were used for roof support in old Haveli's. Haveli's are traditional stone and wooden houses in India which were built for merchants and the upper class.
The beams are then sawn into planks. After glueing we are sandblasting them so that the natural grain comes out of the teakwood. Long planks are used for tables and left-overs for the production of smaller items.
The products from this collection are left unfinished and over the years to come it will get a natural patina.
You can stain or laquer the product if you like according to your requirements.
NOTE: each product is a bit different from the next as each is constructed of reclaimed materials - no two items look exactly the same! Every item in this collection has a FSC-recycled label.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international non-profit organization which sets the international standards for responsible forest management worldwide. Trees and wood products that are processed according to those standards can obtain an FSC-certification.
Regular inspections are done by independent certification companies. Products that have a FSC-logo give consumers a guarantee that no illegal or unsustainable logging has taken place in the making of that product.
FSC- recycled wood & metal.
The table is sure to last for years to come if given proper maintenance.
For indoor use-
If left as is, it will acquire a natural patina, otherwise you can use any type of wax, teak oil or laquer.
Do this first on a non-visible spot to see if its to your liking because the wood will get darker from this!
For outdoor use-
-On the wooden parts, to preserve the look, use an ultra matt coating like trae-lyx or a nano coating. Or use any type of (outdoor) teak-oil. Do this first on a non-visible spot to see if its to your liking because the wood will get darker from this!
-On the iron parts use a laquer or linseed oil.
