Terra collection:
Together with French designer Charlotte S. Gavet we present this lightning collection. The Terra collection is made of terracotta and inspired by organic shapes Charlotte S. Gavet is from Paris, but currently lives in Bali.

Material:
The basic material of terracotta is clay, a naturally occurring material from the area. Another name for terracotta is ‘baked earth’. The designer works closely with local craftsman who use their traditional skills to make all the lamps by hand.

Maintenance:
-Wipe regularly with a slightly damp or dry duster without heavy stitching to avoid scratches.
-Avoid all cleaning tools with a rough surface.
-Do not use detergents or cleaning agents containing ammonia.

Pacific Collection:
The Pacific Collection is inspired by the beauty and diversity of the Pacific Ocean, the largest and deepest ocean in the world. This ocean, surrounded by continents such as Asia, Australia, and the Americas, is home to most of the world’s islands. Many of these islands, formed from active volcanoes, are surrounded by vast blue oceans, coral islands, white beaches, and swaying palm trees. These magical islands are home to countless cultures and tribes, which serve as the inspiration for our collection, named after some of these famous islands.

Our stools are a versatile addition to any interior, whether for a home, restaurant, hotel, or project. They can be used as a stool, plant stand, or side table for drinks and coffee. With their unique design and decorative appeal, they always attract attention. With a wide range of designs, there’s a favorite stool for everyone!

Materials:
Mango wood.

Care Instructions:
– Wipe occasionally with a slightly damp or dry cloth without heavy stitching to avoid scratches.
– Avoid any cleaning tools with a rough surface.
– Avoid polish or cleaning agents that contain silicone, as these can naturally dry out the wood over time.
– Do not use cleaning agents or products that contain ammonia.
– Rub wax into the wood for a beautiful shine and a natural protective layer. This also prevents the wood from drying out.
– Mineral (wood) oil can be applied with a cloth. Over time, this will produce a protective surface.

Nero collection:
All items of the Nero collection are made from teak wood. Teak wood is indigenous is India, Thailand, Laos and Myanmar, but because of extensive logging it is only in Myanmar that it still grows in natural forests. In Indonesia it was introduced in the 16th century and during Dutch colonial time large plantations were started. After Indonesia became independent the Indonesian government has managed the plantations. This has been quite successful, as teak is a valuable wood and it has always been economical to replant teak after logging trees.

Practically all the teak wood in Indonesia that is used for furniture production comes from these plantations. Only for local use sometimes teak from small farms near villages are used. Since it does not grow in the natural forests of Indonesia, no tropical forests are cut for teak wood.

Since 2016 the Indonesian government has regulated all timber trade, with a system to trace all wood that is exported back to the source, where the trees were cut. This has been part of a the FLEGT trade agreement with the EU, to guarantee that only legal wood is imported into the EU.

These aspects together make teak production in Indonesia and its use for furniture both economically and environmentally sustainable.

Maintenance:
-The wood has a water-based coating, which protects against water stains, but advised is to use the furniture only indoors and not to leave fluids on the wood for longer period of time.
-Small damage or scratches in the wood with natural colour can be treated only on the spot itself with transparent or very light coloured oil.

The craftsman collection was designed some years ago with inspiration from wooden stools that were used by labourers in factories in the 30s in Chicago. The thin edge of the stool comes back in the design of the wall shelves.
The wood used for this collection is teak wood, which is grown on plantations in Indonesia. Like white cedar wood, it is not an indigenous tree and does not grow in the primary forests.

Since 2016 the Indonesian government has regulated all timber trade, with a system to trace all wood that is exported back to the source, where the trees were cut. This has been part of a FLEGT trade agreement with the EU, to guarantee that only legal wood is imported into the EU.
These aspects together make teak wood production in Indonesia and its use for furniture both economically and environmentally sustainable.

Materials
The vases are made from an eco mix which consists of old newspapers, crushed limestone & natural tree resin in different percentages.

The process of how the base material is made:
1. Old newspapers are first soaked in water
2. The wet newspapers go through a machine and smashed into pulp
3. The pulp is mixed with crushed limestone
4. Natural tree resin functions as the adhesive.
5. Resin crystals are melted in warm water and the liquid substance is added in the mix
6. Pulp, chalk & resin are mixed and pushed through an avegar
7. We then have the right substance and consistency, our base material.

From base material to final design:
1. Blocks of clay are pounded with a wooden mallet into sheets
2. The clay sheet is laid into a mould and pressed into the sides
3. Two half moulds are closed together, wrapped with a plastic band
4. From the inside extra clay is pushed into the connecting joints
5. The mould is left for 1-2 days drying in the air
6. The mould is opened and excess clay is cut off & small holes are filled by hand
7. The model is now further left to dry for another 3-5 days in the open air
8. Finally it is sprayed with a sealer so no colour comes off when handling

The full process consists of only 2 important items: the use of natural materials & skilled labour, exactly the 2 things Raw Materials loves the most! Any new design is firstly made in plaster of Paris. This goes into a block of gips. This is cut in half and these are the 2 moulds. Gips moulds can only be used 10 to 12 times.

Maintenance
Apart from dusting with a dry cloth, no maintenance is needed.

Factory Collection:
The factory wood collection is made from 100% recycled wood.
Wood is coming from old houses which are demolished & broken down abandoned factories.
Reclaimed wood comes from their floorboards, wall panels, and roof structures.
The wood has a full medium to dark patina from years of use.
It is a mixture of local hardwood which depends on the area/region where the building stood.
Hardwood was used as a quality and long-term material.
Every item in this collection has an FSC-recycled label.

FSC:
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international non-profit organization that sets the international standards for responsible forest management worldwide. Trees and wood products that are processed according to those standards can obtain an FSC certification.
Regular inspections are done by independent certification companies. Products that have a FSC logo give consumers a guarantee that no illegal or unsustainable logging has taken place in the making of that product.

FSC-Recycled wood.

Maintenance:
-Wipe down periodically with a slightly damp or dry dust cloth containing no heavy stitching to avoid scratches.
-Rub the wax into the wood to create a beautiful shine and a natural protective finish. It also prevents the wood from drying out.
-Mineral oil can be applied using a cloth. This will build up over time to produce a protective surface.
-Avoid all cleaning tools with a rough surface.
-Avoid polish or cleaning products containing silicone, which can dry out natural wood over time.
-Do not use detergents or any cleaning products that contain ammonia.
