Farmwood cabinet from FSC recycled wood

This Farmwood cabinet offers plenty of storage space without being very wide. Use it for tableware, glassware, linen, books or other items you prefer to keep out of sight.

Behind the door, there are several shelves, making the cabinet easy to organise. The door is made from vertical wooden sections and fits naturally with the rest of the design. The raised legs lift the cabinet slightly from the floor, which makes the tall shape feel less heavy in the room.

The recycled wood gives the cabinet a lot of detail. Old marks, colour differences, knots and small imperfections remain visible in the surface. This makes every Farmwood cabinet different.

The pieces in this collection have a simple design, so the material remains clearly visible. Because we work with recycled wood, colour, structure and finish may vary per item.

Material

For the Farmwood collection, we use FSC recycled wood. This wood comes from old houses and buildings in Southwest India. Examples include old beams, floorboards and wooden constructions that are reused for new furniture.

The wood is carefully selected, sanded and finished. Old marks, colour differences, knots, cracks and small repairs may remain visible. These details give every Farmwood cabinet its own look.

The FSC-Recycled label indicates that the wood comes from reclaimed sources. This gives existing wood a second life in a new piece of furniture.

Maintenance

Wipe the cabinet with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaning products and do not leave moisture on the wood for too long.

For our wooden furniture, we use carefully dried wood. Still, wood remains a natural material that reacts to humidity and temperature. Especially during the winter months, wood can move a little more because of indoor heating and reduced ventilation. We recommend keeping indoor humidity between 40% and 60%.

If the humidity is lower, you can use water evaporators or a humidifier. It is also best not to place wooden furniture directly next to a heater, air conditioner or other heat source. Good ventilation remains important after the winter months as well.

Even with careful drying and treatment, small shrinkage cracks can sometimes appear, especially at the end grain or edges of the wood. This is a normal characteristic of solid wood and is usually barely noticeable.

Almost nothing has been done in post-processing, except sanding and brushing the wood.

Mango wood is a by-product of mango cultivation. When mango trees produce fewer fruits after around 15 years, they are replaced by new trees. The wood from the old trees is then used for furniture. Knots, small imperfections and colour differences are part of the material.

Library shelving unit / archive cabinet

This tall shelving unit is based on old bookcases from European libraries. The design is practical and sturdy, with a metal frame and spacious wooden shelves. This makes it suitable for a living room, home office, office, shop or showroom.

The cabinet has several shelves that can be placed at different heights. This allows you to adjust the layout to what you want to store, such as books, folders, tableware, ceramics, baskets or decorative objects.

At the front, the cabinet has two handles and a metal bar. These details refer to the original library bookcases, where the bar was used to help reach the higher shelves.
