Material
For the Soleado collection, we use FSC-certified reclaimed teak wood sourced from former teak plantations in Indonesia. The FSC certification guarantees that the wood comes from responsibly managed sources. Through independent inspections, the origin of the wood remains traceable and complies with international standards for responsible forest management.
Teak is valued for its strength, durability, and suitability for outdoor use. The natural oils in the wood help protect it from a variety of weather conditions. When used outdoors, the wood will gradually develop a silvery-grey patina due to exposure to sunlight, rain, and changing temperatures. If you prefer to maintain the original warm colour of the teak, the wood can be treated annually with teak oil.
Variations in colour, grain, and small cracks are natural characteristics of the material and make each table unique.
