Cabinets & Storage by Raw Materials
Discover the cabinets and storage furniture by Raw Materials for the living room, dining room, hallway or home office. The collection includes sideboards, storage cabinets, chests of drawers, open shelving units and other practical storage furniture. Whether you need a spacious cabinet to keep belongings out of sight or an open shelf for books and accessories, our designs combine practical storage with the natural look that defines Raw Materials furniture.
Wooden Cabinets with a Natural Look
Wood plays an important role throughout our storage collection. You will find furniture made from materials such as mango wood, teak and reclaimed wood. Mango wood has a warm colour and distinctive grain, while teak is known for its strength and natural appearance. In addition, several collections make use of old timber that is carefully transformed into new furniture.
Because wood is a natural material, colour, grain, knots and texture can vary from one cabinet to another. Reclaimed wood may also show traces of its previous life. These natural differences are part of the material and give every piece of furniture its own individual appearance.
Cabinets Made from FSC Recycled Wood
Several of our cabinets and storage pieces are made from FSC Recycled certified wood. Existing timber is recovered and reused instead of being discarded. This can include old beams, floorboards, wall panels and other wooden elements that are carefully selected before being given a second life in a new piece of furniture.
The FSC Recycled certification confirms that the recycled material has been checked according to FSC requirements throughout the supply chain. As a result, valuable timber can be reused while its original colour variations, wood structures and signs of previous use often remain visible. This means that no two reclaimed wood cabinets are exactly alike.
Sideboards, Storage Cabinets and Chests of Drawers
A sideboard, chest of drawers or closed storage cabinet is a practical choice for belongings you prefer to keep out of sight. A low sideboard provides generous storage without visually dominating the room, while the top offers plenty of space for a lamp, vase, artwork or other decorative accessories. A taller cabinet, on the other hand, makes better use of vertical space when you need more storage on a smaller floor area.
Chests of drawers are ideal for keeping smaller belongings organised and easy to reach. With different sizes, layouts and combinations of doors and drawers available, you can choose a storage piece that suits both your space and what you need to store.
Open Shelving for Storage and Display
Not everything needs to be hidden behind a door. An open cabinet or shelving unit provides space to display books, ceramics, plants and other favourite pieces. Our collection includes fully wooden shelving as well as designs that combine natural wood with iron.
Open shelving generally feels lighter than a completely closed cabinet, making it a good option for smaller rooms as well. By alternating practical storage with a few decorative objects, you can create an organised display without making the furniture feel overcrowded.

Frequently Asked Questions About Cabinets & Storage
Which cabinet works best in a small room?
Consider not only the width of the cabinet but also its height and depth. A taller, narrower design often makes efficient use of the available space, while a low sideboard can help keep the room feeling more open. Always measure the surrounding walking space and check nearby doors before choosing a cabinet.
When should I choose open shelving or a closed cabinet?
A closed cabinet is ideal when you want to keep belongings out of sight and create a calm, organised look. Open shelving works well when you want to display books, tableware, plants or decorative accessories. Of course, both types of storage furniture can also be combined in the same room.
What should I check before ordering a large cabinet?
Besides measuring the cabinet itself, make sure to check the entire route to its final position. Measure doorways, hallways, staircases and other passages, and check the product page to see whether the furniture is delivered fully assembled or in separate parts. This helps ensure that the cabinet can be placed in the intended room without any problems.
