Bullnose mango wood side table

This Bullnose side table works well next to a sofa, beside an armchair or next to the bed. Use it for a lamp, book, glass, vase or cup of coffee.

The round top has a rounded edge and stands on a central base with open shapes. Because of the visible wood grain and warm brown colour, each table has its own look.

Also available as a lower version

This side table is also available as a lower and wider version of 55 x 55 x 40 cm. The two sizes work well together as a set next to the sofa, with a nice difference in height.

Material

For this Bullnose side table, we use mango wood. This strong type of wood often has a clear grain and natural colour differences. Because wood is a natural material, each table varies in colour, pattern and structure.

Mango wood is a by-product of mango cultivation. When mango trees produce fewer fruits after around 15 years, they make room for new planting. The wood then gets a second life as furniture. Small imperfections, knots and colour differences are part of the material.

Maintenance

Wipe the side table with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaning products and do not leave moisture on the wood for too long. Use coasters for glasses, mugs or plant pots.

For our wooden furniture, we use carefully dried wood. Still, wood remains a natural material that reacts to humidity and temperature. Especially during the winter months, wood can move a little more because of indoor heating and reduced ventilation. We recommend keeping indoor humidity between 40% and 60%.

If the humidity is lower, you can use water evaporators or a humidifier. It is also best not to place wooden furniture directly next to a heater, air conditioner or other heat source. Good ventilation remains important after the winter months as well.

Even with careful drying and treatment, small shrinkage cracks can sometimes appear, especially at the end grain or edges of the wood. This is a normal characteristic of solid wood and is usually barely noticeable.
