Inspired by Bajot tables from India
Bajot tables originally come from India. They are low wooden tables or platforms traditionally used during rituals, for placing offerings or statues, and also as low tables for eating or serving.
This table is inspired by those original Bajot tables. The low square shape refers to its traditional use, while the piece now works well as a small table for the home.
From the Factory collection
This Bajot table is part of our Factory collection. In this collection, we use recycled wood with visible traces of previous use, such as colour differences, knots, small cracks and old repairs.
This small version is also available as a larger version of 46 x 46 x 18 cm. Use the two sizes separately, or place them together for a difference in height and size.
Material
The Factory collection is made from 100% FSC-certified reclaimed wood. The wood is sourced from old houses, abandoned factories, and other buildings in India, including reclaimed floorboards, wall panels, and roof structures.
Years of use have given the wood its rich medium to dark patina. It consists of various local hardwood species, making every piece unique in colour, grain, texture, and finish.
The FSC Recycled certification guarantees that the wood comes from reclaimed sources and that no illegal or unsustainable logging was involved in the production of this item.
Maintenance
Wipe the table with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaning products and do not leave moisture on the wood for too long. Use coasters for glasses, mugs or plant pots.
