Forma teak bar stool

This teak bar stool has a compact round seat and a sturdy base. The shape is built up from round sections that alternate with each other, keeping the stool simple while still giving it enough detail.

With a size of 30 x 30 x 65 cm, the Forma bar stool is suitable for places where you need a higher seat. Use it at a kitchen island, bar, high work table or in a narrow spot where a chair with a backrest would take up too much space.

The natural teak colour shows the wood grain clearly. Lines, colour differences and small imperfections can be visible in the surface. This makes every bar stool slightly different.

Forma collection

This bar stool is part of our Forma collection. This collection includes teak side tables, stools and a bar stool with rounded shapes and different heights.

The rounded shapes and teak wood make the pieces from the Forma collection easy to place together. Use the bar stool on its own, or combine it with other stools or side tables from the same collection.

Material

For the Forma bar stool, we use teak wood. Teak is a strong type of wood with a clear grain, natural colour differences and a long lifespan. Because wood is a natural material, each bar stool varies in colour, pattern and structure.

Teak has been used for centuries for furniture, construction and shipbuilding. In Indonesia, teak mainly grows on plantations. Since 2016, the Indonesian government has regulated the timber trade through a system that traces wood back to its source. This is part of the FLEGT trade agreement with the EU, which helps ensure that only legal timber enters the EU.

Maintenance

Wipe the bar stool with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaning products and do not leave moisture on the wood for too long. Use coasters when using the stool for a glass, mug or plant.

For our wooden furniture, we use carefully dried wood. Still, wood remains a natural material that reacts to humidity and temperature. Especially during the winter months, wood can move a little more because of indoor heating and reduced ventilation. We recommend keeping indoor humidity between 40% and 60%.

If the humidity is lower, you can use water evaporators or a humidifier. It is also best not to place wooden furniture directly next to a heater, air conditioner or other heat source. Good ventilation remains important after the winter months as well.

Even with careful drying and treatment, small shrinkage cracks can sometimes appear, especially at the end grain or edges of the wood. This is a normal characteristic of solid wood and is usually barely noticeable.
