Low Bullnose mango wood side table

This low Bullnose side table works well next to a low sofa, lounge chair or seating area. Use it for a book, glass, vase, candles or cup of coffee.

The round top has a rounded edge and stands on a central tapered base. Because of its lower height and wider top, this version also works well as a small coffee table.

Also available as a higher version

This side table is also available as a higher version of 50 x 50 x 45 cm. The two sizes work well together as a nesting coffee table set. Place them partly overlapping or next to each other for a difference in height and size.

From the Bullnose collection

This mango wood side table is part of our Bullnose collection. The collection includes mango wood furniture with rounded edges, round shapes and visible wood grain.

Material

For this Bullnose side table, we use mango wood. This strong type of wood often has a clear grain and natural colour differences. Because wood is a natural material, each table varies in colour, pattern and structure.

Mango wood is a by-product of mango cultivation. When mango trees produce fewer fruits after around 15 years, they make room for new planting. The wood then gets a second life as furniture. Small imperfections, knots and colour differences are part of the material.

Maintenance

Wipe the side table with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaning products and do not leave moisture on the wood for too long. Use coasters for glasses, mugs or plant pots.

For our wooden furniture, we use carefully dried wood. Still, wood remains a natural material that reacts to humidity and temperature. Especially during the winter months, wood can move a little more because of indoor heating and reduced ventilation. We recommend keeping indoor humidity between 40% and 60%.

If the humidity is lower, you can use water evaporators or a humidifier. It is also best not to place wooden furniture directly next to a heater, air conditioner or other heat source. Good ventilation remains important after the winter months as well.

Even with careful drying and treatment, small shrinkage cracks can sometimes appear, especially at the end grain or edges of the wood. This is a normal characteristic of solid wood and is usually barely noticeable.
