Rattan pendant lamp with an organic shape
The Maze pendant lamp has an open shade made from woven rattan. The flowing lines run around the lamp and give the Maze its recognisable shape. During the day, the handmade woven structure stands out. Once the lamp is switched on, the light shines through the rattan and creates a pattern of light and shadow around the lamp.
With a size of 57 x 60 x 31 cm, you can hang the Maze Organic above a dining table, in the living room, bedroom or hallway. Because of the open woven structure, the light bulb remains partly visible.
The lamp has a black metal ceiling cap and a 200 cm cotton cord. Looking for a larger size? The Organic is also available in 75 x 75 x 31 cm.
Maze collection
The Maze collection consists of handmade rattan pendant lamps in different sizes. The organic shapes and open woven structure return in the different models.
Craftspeople weave each lampshade by hand. This means every Maze may vary slightly in shape, colour and weaving. These small differences are part of natural rattan and the handmade process.
Material
For the lampshade, we use natural rattan. Rattan grows as a climbing plant in tropical areas in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia. The material is strong, light and flexible, which makes it very suitable for hand weaving.
The Maze pendant lamp has an E27 fitting for a light bulb of up to 60 watts. The light bulb is not included. The cotton cord is 200 cm long and is combined with a black metal ceiling cap.
Maintenance
Dust the rattan shade regularly with a dry cloth, soft brush or feather duster. Do not use harsh cleaning products and avoid making the rattan too wet.
It is best not to hang the lamp directly next to a heater, air conditioner or other heat source. As a natural material, rattan can react to major changes in temperature and humidity.
