Teak dining chair with rattan
The Nova has a spacious seat and armrests that offer extra support while sitting. With a seat height of 45 cm, it fits easily at most dining tables.
The chair measures 63 x 58 x 84 cm and the armrests are 63.5 cm from the floor. We recommend measuring your table beforehand to check if the armrests fit underneath the tabletop.

Nova collection
This dining chair is part of our Nova collection. Within this collection, you will find different chairs made from teak wood and woven rattan.
The woven details can be found in the seat, backrest or both, depending on the model. This gives the Nova furniture the same recognisable details, while each model has its own shape.
Material
For the frame of this Nova dining chair, we use teak wood. Teak is strong, durable and lasts a long time with proper use. The wood has a clear grain and natural differences in colour and pattern, which means every chair looks slightly different.
The teak comes from Indonesia, where a lot of teak grows on plantations. Indonesia works with a control system that traces the origin and legality of timber. This is connected to the FLEGT trade agreement with the EU. FLEGT helps ensure that timber exported from Indonesia to the EU meets the applicable rules for legal logging and trade.
For the seat and backrest, we use woven rattan. Rattan comes from a fast-growing climbing palm and is strong and flexible. Craftspeople weave thin strips of rattan using the traditional caning technique to create the open pattern of the Nova chair.
Maintenance
Wipe the teak frame with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh cleaning products and do not leave moisture on the wood for too long.
Clean the woven rattan carefully with a soft brush or dry cloth. Avoid using too much water, as rattan can react to moisture.
Wood reacts to changes in temperature and humidity. It is therefore best not to place the chair directly next to a heater, air conditioner or other heat source.
