Ritari teak side table/stool

The Ritari is useful in places where you need a small table or an extra seat. Place it next to an armchair with a book or cup of coffee on top, beside the bed with a lamp, or use it as a stool when you need extra seating.

The shape becomes narrower towards the top in several rounded layers. The natural teak colour shows the wood grain, lines and colour differences clearly. This means every piece is slightly different.

From the Forma collection

The Ritari is part of our Forma collection. This collection includes teak side tables, stools and a bar stool with rounded shapes, different heights and finishes.

This Ritari is also available in black. Choose one version, or place several pieces from the Forma collection together.

Material

For the Ritari, we use teak wood. Teak is a strong type of wood with a clear grain, natural colour differences and a long lifespan. Because wood is a natural material, each item varies in colour, pattern and structure.

Teak has been used for centuries for furniture, construction and shipbuilding. In Indonesia, teak mainly grows on plantations. Since 2016, the Indonesian government has regulated the timber trade through a system that traces wood back to its source. This is part of the FLEGT trade agreement with the EU, which helps ensure that only legal timber enters the EU.

Maintenance

Wipe the side table/stool with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaning products and do not leave moisture on the wood for too long. Use coasters for glasses, mugs or plant pots.

For our wooden furniture, we use carefully dried wood. Still, wood remains a natural material that reacts to humidity and temperature. Especially during the winter months, wood can move a little more because of indoor heating and reduced ventilation. We recommend keeping indoor humidity between 40% and 60%.

If the humidity is lower, you can use water evaporators or a humidifier. It is also best not to place wooden furniture directly next to a heater, air conditioner or other heat source. Good ventilation remains important after the winter months as well.

Even with careful drying and treatment, small shrinkage cracks can sometimes appear, especially at the end grain or edges of the wood. This is a normal characteristic of solid wood and is usually barely noticeable.
