The Saturn is a handmade rattan pendant lamp with several rounded layers. When the lamp is switched on, light shines through the woven rattan and creates beautiful shadows on the walls and ceiling.

Rattan pendant lamp with rounded shapes
The rounded shapes of the woven rattan give the Saturn its recognisable design. Because of the open weave, the light can shine between the rattan and creates a pattern of light and shadow around the lamp.
Measuring 65 x 65 x 63 cm, the Saturn is a generously sized pendant lamp for above a dining table, in the living room, hallway or a room with a high ceiling.
The lamp comes with a black metal ceiling rose and a 200 cm cotton cord. The Saturn is also available as a wall lamp.
Material
For the lampshade, we use natural rattan. Rattan grows as a climbing palm in tropical regions of Southeast Asia, including Indonesia. The material is strong, lightweight and flexible, making it well suited for hand weaving.
Rattan grows relatively quickly and can be harvested again. When managed responsibly, this makes it a renewable material choice. It is also strong enough to be used for furniture and lighting for many years.
Skilled craftspeople weave each Saturn lamp by hand. Small differences in colour, shape and weaving may occur and are part of the natural material and handmade process.
The Saturn pendant lamp has an E27 fitting suitable for a light bulb of up to 60 watts. The light bulb is not included. The 200 cm cotton cord is combined with a black metal ceiling rose.
Maintenance
Dust the rattan shade regularly with a dry cloth, soft brush or feather duster. Avoid harsh cleaning products and do not make the rattan too wet.
Avoid hanging the lamp directly next to a radiator, air conditioner or other heat source. As a natural material, rattan can react to major changes in temperature and humidity.
