Bajot table from FSC recycled wood
This low Bajot table works well near a seating area, beside an armchair, under a window or as a small table for decoration. Use it for a bowl, candles, books, a vase or a plant.
The square top sits low to the ground and has a sturdy, simple shape. Because it is made from recycled wood, different colour tones, old marks of use and small imperfections can be visible in the surface. This makes every table slightly different.
Inspired by Bajot tables from India
Bajot tables originally come from India. They are low wooden tables or platforms traditionally used during rituals, for placing offerings or statues, and also as low tables for eating or serving.
This table is inspired by those original Bajot tables. The low shape and compact size refer to its traditional use, while the piece now works well as a small table for the home.
Material
The Factory collection is made from 100% FSC-certified reclaimed wood. The wood is sourced from old houses, abandoned factories, and other buildings in India, including reclaimed floorboards, wall panels, and roof structures.
Years of use have given the wood its rich medium to dark patina. It consists of various local hardwood species, making every piece unique in colour, grain, texture, and finish.
The FSC Recycled certification guarantees that the wood comes from reclaimed sources and that no illegal or unsustainable logging was involved in the production of this item.
Maintenance
Wipe the table with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaning products and do not leave moisture on the wood for too long. Use coasters for glasses, mugs or plant pots.
