Rattan pendant lamp with a flowing shape
The Wave pendant lamp has an open shade made from woven rattan. The edge follows a flowing shape around the lamp and gives the Wave its recognisable design. When the lamp is switched on, the light shines through the woven rattan and creates beautiful shadows on the walls and ceiling.
With a size of 75 x 75 x 28 cm, this is a spacious pendant lamp for above a dining table, in the living room or in a large hallway. Because of the open woven structure, the light bulb remains partly visible and the light can shine through the rattan.
The lamp has a black metal ceiling cap and a 200 cm cotton cord. Within the Wave collection, you will find different sizes, so you can choose a version that suits the place where you want to hang the lamp.
Wave collection
The Wave collection consists of handmade rattan pendant lamps in different sizes. The flowing shape returns in all models and is inspired by vintage lamp designs.
The lampshades are woven by hand. This means small differences in shape, colour and weaving may occur. These details are part of the use of natural rattan and the handmade character of the lamp.
Material
For the lampshade, we use natural rattan. Rattan grows as a climbing plant in tropical areas in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia. The material is strong and flexible, which makes it very suitable for hand weaving.
Rattan is also light and strong, making it suitable for furniture and lamps that last a long time. For our Wave lamps, craftspeople weave the rattan by hand. Small differences in colour, shape and weaving are part of the natural material.
The Wave pendant lamp has an E27 fitting and is suitable for a light bulb of up to 60 watts. The lamp comes without a light bulb. The cotton cord is 200 cm long and is combined with a black metal ceiling cap.
Maintenance
Dust the rattan shade regularly with a dry cloth, soft brush or feather duster. Do not use harsh cleaning products and avoid making the rattan too wet.
It is best not to hang the lamp directly next to a heater, air conditioner or other heat source. Rattan is a natural material and can react to major changes in temperature and humidity.
