Mango wood furniture from the Beachwood collection
The Beachwood collection by Raw Materials consists of mango wood furniture with a light finish inspired by weathered driftwood. The collection includes mango wood dining tables, coffee tables, dining benches, cabinets, small benches, bedside tables and stools.
The light wood colour keeps the coarse, elongated grain of the mango wood clearly visible. The surface is not finished completely smooth, allowing the natural structure of the timber to remain both visible and tangible. This gives Beachwood furniture a light appearance without making the wood look too polished or new.
Light mango wood furniture with a textured finish
We use mango wood for the Beachwood collection. Mango wood naturally has a distinctive grain and can vary in colour and structure. For Beachwood, the timber is given a light finish with a warm undertone.
The finish was inspired by driftwood that has been exposed to sun, salt water, wind and waves over many years. These elements give wood a faded colour, long grain patterns and a slightly rougher texture. This look formed the starting point for the Beachwood collection.
Skilled craftspeople shape, inspect and finish each piece by hand without hiding the natural structure of the wood. Knots, visible grain, small cracks and colour variations may therefore remain visible. As every piece of mango wood is different, each Beachwood item will also vary slightly.
Mango wood dining tables and dining benches
Mango wood dining tables form an important part of the Beachwood collection and are available in different sizes and designs. This makes it easier to choose a dining table that suits both the available space and the number of people you regularly seat.
Several dining tables can be combined with a matching wooden dining bench. Using the same light mango wood and finish creates a consistent dining area while the natural grain ensures that no two pieces look exactly the same.
Place a dining bench along one side of the table and combine it with individual dining chairs on the opposite side or at either end. This gives you flexible seating while keeping the dining area visually calm.
Mango wood coffee tables for the living room
The Beachwood collection also includes different mango wood coffee tables. Choose a larger coffee table for a spacious seating area or a more compact design when you have less floor space available.
The light mango wood is easy to combine with different colours and materials. At the same time, the visible grain and slightly rougher finish prevent the furniture from looking overly smooth or polished.
Combine a Beachwood coffee table with a light sofa and natural fabrics, or use the pale wood as a contrast alongside darker furniture and stronger colours.
Mango wood cabinets and storage furniture
Beachwood cabinets and storage furniture make it easy to repeat the same light wood tone throughout different rooms. The furniture provides practical storage while keeping the coarse grain of the mango wood visible as part of the design.
By combining different Beachwood pieces, you can create a connection between the living room, dining area and bedroom without using exactly the same type of furniture in every room.
Mango wood bedside tables, benches and stools
Alongside the larger pieces, Beachwood also includes compact mango wood furniture for smaller areas of the home. A mango wood bedside table provides room for a lamp, book and other belongings next to the bed, while designs with a drawer or open shelf offer additional storage.
The smaller wooden benches can be used in the hallway, bedroom or dining area. A wooden stool works as an extra seat but can also be placed next to an armchair or sofa as a small side table.
The light finish makes these smaller pieces an easy way to introduce Beachwood into different rooms throughout the home.
Why choose mango wood?
Mango trees are primarily grown for their fruit. When older trees produce fewer mangoes over time, they can make way for new planting and the timber can be used to make furniture.
This gives the wood a second life after fruit production. The trees are therefore not grown solely for furniture production. Mango wood also has a distinctive grain, which remains clearly visible even with the lighter Beachwood finish.
How to combine Beachwood furniture
Light mango wood furniture works well with neutral colours such as beige, sand, white and grey, but can also provide contrast alongside darker furniture or coloured fabrics.
You do not need to furnish an entire room with Beachwood. A mango wood dining table can easily be combined with different dining chairs, while a Beachwood coffee table also works well alongside furniture made from other types of wood and materials.

Frequently asked questions about Beachwood and mango wood furniture
What is mango wood?
Mango wood comes from the mango tree. These trees are primarily grown for their fruit. When older trees produce fewer mangoes, the timber can be used to make furniture after the fruit-producing stage of the tree’s life.
Are all Beachwood pieces exactly the same colour?
No. Mango wood is a natural material, so colour, grain and structure can vary from one piece to another. These natural differences remain visible within the light Beachwood finish.
How do I maintain Beachwood mango wood furniture?
Wipe the wood with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh cleaning products. Do not leave moisture on the surface for long periods and use coasters on tables where possible.
Can I combine different Beachwood pieces?
Yes. The same light wood colour and finish run throughout the collection, allowing dining tables, coffee tables, benches, cabinets and smaller pieces to work well together. Because of the natural variation in mango wood, each piece will still have its own grain and colour differences.
